Kumusta, and welcome back sa blog!
Whenever we do apologetics, we inevitably run into critics na nagtuturo sa Bible at sasabihing, "Look! Napagod si Jesus, tinukso Siya, at namatay Siya! Paano Siya naging God?" Sounds like a solid argument at first glance. Pero ito ang reality: if the infinite Creator of the universe stepped into human history at nagkatawang-tao, we should expect na ang life Niya ay puno ng mind-bending paradoxes.
Let's break down these incredible mysteries sa isang quick Q&A format and see how perfectly they confirm exactly who Jesus is.
The New Testament is clear na Jesus existed before creation.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." John 1:1-3(NIV)
"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16-17(NIV)
The divine Person, ang Son, existed eternally, pero at a specific point in history, kinuha Niya ang human flesh at binigyan ng earthly name na "Jesus." It’s not a contradiction; it’s a beautiful invasion of the eternal sa ating timeline.

Q: Kung God never changes, paanong lumaki si Jesus?
A: God’s immutability means His divine nature and perfect moral character never change.
“I the LORD do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed." Malachi 3:6 (NIV)
Pero ang pagiging tao meant stepping into the human experience. Jesus had to learn how to talk, walk, and grow mula sa pagiging infant to adult (Luke 2:52).
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." Luke 2:52(NIV)
Yet, throughout all those physical and mental changes, ang His moral perfection remained absolute. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, always dependable, always perfectly righteous, kahit na namuhay Siya nang totoo sa ating changeable human shoes.

Q: Paanong tinukso si Jesus kung God cannot be tempted by evil?
A: Skeptics love to put James 1:13 ("God cannot be tempted") next to Hebrews 4:15 ("Jesus was tempted") and yell "Contradiction!" Pero tingnan natin ang context. James is explaining na God cannot be lured or enticed by sinful, internal desires, nor does He incite us to sin. Si Jesus, being morally flawless, had zero internal sinful passions. However, He did face external opportunities to sin. He was fully exposed sa harsh realities at temptations ng mundo natin, yet He remained entirely impeccable¹ and sinless.
A: During His earthly ministry, nag-accept si Jesus ng physical limitations.
Yet, we also see undeniable flashes ng kanyang divine omnipresence. Jesus’ authority easily transcends distance.
A: As God, the Son is omniscient. Pero to live a truly authentic human life, voluntarily Niyang ni-restrict ang paggamit ng His divine knowledge.
A: Dahil physically exhausted Siya. Ang Omnipotent Creator who never slumbers (Ps. 121:4) ay naging tao na sumasakit din ang muscles at kailangan ng rest. Yet, sa mismong bangka kung saan Siya natulog in human frailty, gumising Siya at inutusan ang raging storm to be completely still gamit lang ang His voice (Mark 4:35-41). In-embrace Niya ang human weakness precisely para ma-conquer Niya ang forces of darkness on our behalf.
A: Critics argue na if God is immortal (1 Tim. 1:17), hindi Siya mamamatay; therefore hindi God si Jesus. Biblically, death is not the cessation of existence; it is a separation.
Willingly Niyang ni-lay down His earthly life. Christ intentionally tasted death to offer genuine, resistible, but powerful saving grace sa buong humanity. Under the New Covenant, ang mga shadows ng old law ay completely fulfilled na sa one ultimate sacrifice na ito.
Dahil namatay at muling nabuhay ang Immortal One, the grave is forever defeated. Dahil victorious si Christ, ang His Kingdom ay actively expanding in history, transforming cultures, at idina-draw Niya ang lahat ng nations to Himself right now.

Notes:
